Le invasioni quotidiane (titolo originale Les invasions quotidiennes) è il nuovo romanzo di Mazarine Pingeot, figlia naturale del Presidente della Repubblica Francois Mitterand, docente di Filosofia presso l’Università di Parigi, edito da Baldini & Castoldi e tradotto da Raffaella Patriarca.
“Il mio ex-marito non è stato così presente nella mia vita da quando non viviamo più insieme”.
La trentottenne professoressa universitaria precaria Joséphine Fayolle si era separata dal marito Josè, uomo attraente ma infantile e capriccioso, da circa otto mesi.
“Nonostante l’ambizione di diventare scrittore non ha mai pubblicato niente”.
Joséphine viveva in un appartamento di proprietà in rue de la Santé nel XIII arrondissement a Parigi insieme ai figli Adrien di dodici anni e Gabriel di poco più piccolo.
“Ogni volta che sto per rivederli il battito del mio cuore accelera”.
Era un periodo difficile per Joséphine “sono una donna sola” che si sentiva vecchia e brutta, che avvertiva una “sensazione di inconsistenza” presa fra tanti problemi: la banca le aveva concesso dieci giorni per coprire il suo conto in rosso e la lavastoviglie che si era appena guastata, “eccomi qui davanti alla disfatta dell’elettrodomestico”. L’affezionata editor di Joséphine era appena andata in pensione e la giovane scrittrice di letteratura per ragazzi, ora era in procinto di iniziare un nuovo libro. José, perennemente in arretrato con l’assegno di mantenimento, con il suo atteggiamento scontroso e antipatico non le era molto d’aiuto.
“Per quanto mi sforzi, non ho il minimo ricordo di lui che si occupa dei bambini”.
L’uomo sembrava aver preso coscienza della propria paternità nel momento in cui era stato costretto a occuparsi dei figli da solo. Josè spesso s’intratteneva nel loro appartamento quando riportava i bambini pregando la sua ex moglie di rimanere qualche minuto ancora mentre Joséphine gli chiedeva di andarsene. Una volta rimasta sola con i figli toccava a lei spiegare loro “come sono fatti gli adulti, la differenza tra amore e amicizia”, l’amore immutato verso la prole, evitando qualsiasi critica verso il loro padre. Entrambi avevano eretto un muro tra di loro, soltanto che adesso il suo ex-marito stava tentando di “togliere le pietre”. “Ti amo ancora a modo mio” le ripeteva Josè ma la donna non lo amava più. La verità era che nessuno dei due riusciva a far calare il sipario, a portare a termine la rottura definitiva della loro relazione. Joséphine, risoluta a dimostrare ai propri figli che una madre è anche una guerriera “anche se talvolta inadeguata, sono la loro mamma”, provava a tenere sotto controllo lo stress andando a fare shopping o divorando cioccolata. Mazarine Pingeot ha recentemente dichiarato che per la redazione del personaggio di Joséphine si è ispirata non solo alla sua recente separazione ma anche alle esperienze sentimentali delle sue amiche.
“Joséphine non subisce la separazione ma la sceglie, anche se ha due figli. La donna non ama più José e ne trae le conseguenze. Continua a fare il massimo per i figli ma sente dei doveri anche verso se stessa”.
L’intelligente e charmante professeure Pingeot con uno stile disinvolto, accattivante e molto senso dell’umorismo ritrae il prototipo della donna moderna alle prese con la quotidianità, mentre cerca di destreggiarsi tra lavoro e figli. La narrazione in prima persona, un lungo e franco colloquio con se stessa, copre dodici giorni stressanti nei quali la combattiva ed emotiva Joséphine vive tra insicurezze e ansie ma con la convinzione di dare il meglio di sé con determinazione, senza arrendersi ma senza nemmeno dimenticare che, prima di essere madre e figlia, è una donna.
“Domani, tesoro. A ciascun giorno la sua pena”.
