"Un’alternativa a due facce, come tutte le alternative. L’uomo si gratta dietro l’orecchio; si trova di fronte a un’alternativa: due facce - dietro una c’è Socrate, sofferente, con i suoi affanni; dietro l’altra c’è il maiale, appagato, con il suo corpo rotondo. In Socrate non c’è niente di notevole: due occhi incavati fino all’osso, alcuni scarabocchi illeggibili e un corpo con gli arti scomposti, senza una linea armonica; nel maiale, invece, di notevole c’è: un grugno ben fatto secondo le severe regole dell’estetica - e soprattutto un grugno che ti appaga la vista -, un corpo grasso, sano e gradevole e sul di dietro una coda bruciacchiata alla fiamma della divina bellezza."
Nell’interessante prefazione alla raccolta La bellezza che uccide di Migjeni, edita da Besa Muci nel 2021 con la traduzione di Adriana Prizreni, Raffaele De Giorgi definisce le narrazioni contenute in questa importante antologia come "abbozzi, tracce, brandelli".
La raccolta prende il nome da uno degli scritti ivi contenuti, che ben si incastonano in narrazioni di vita vissuta, scene di quotidianità, definizioni di vicende cariche di sofferenza e patimento, ma spesso anche colme d’ironia, un sarcasmo in qualche modo lacerato dalle lacrime.
Migjeni, alias Millosh Gjergj Nikolla, è il celebre poeta albanese, nato a Scutari nel 1911 e morto a Torre Pellice dopo solo ventisette anni di vita, per le conseguenze legate alla tubercolosi, la cui morte ha costituito una grave perdita per la letteratura albanese moderna.
Non è semplice avvicinarsi a questa lettura: non risulta subito facile accogliere lo stile di Migjeni, che nella sua eleganza dona una delicata complessità ai contenuti, fatta di piacevole armonia. Uno scetticismo che colpisce il lettore, subito sostituito da un vortice di profondo interesse e da un lieto stravolgimento, che gli permette di staccare dall’oggi per attraccare nella più vivida quotidianità fatta di forza, di potenza e di quel pizzico d’immancabile magia.
Un ordinato accumulo di domande e di certezze, di tradizione, cultura e povertà, questi racconti di Migjeni. Sofferenza e ricerca di riscatto, sono solo due tra i principali elementi intorno a cui si snodano le narrazioni. La scrittura del poeta albanese, lineare e asciutta, fatta di frasi lasciate a metà e concetti semplici, ma non elementari, trascina il lettore tra le montagne situate a nord dell’Albania, dove la rigidità delle temperature e la forza della miseria si contrappongono alla bellezza della natura. Buio e luce, in questo La bellezza che uccide, si alternano sino a diventare un tutt’uno.
Migjeni scrive in ghego, una forma di dialetto antico, quindi la traduzione in italiano ha richiesto un certo impegno. Di seguito un breve estratto della nota di Adriana Prizreni, la traduttrice del testo:
“Migjeni scrive in dialetto ghego: un dialetto albanese antico, che utilizza una costruzione della frase semplice, asciutta, essenziale, un dialetto che usa un vocabolario più limitato di quello di cui dispone l’albanese moderno e una sintassi più immediata, più rudimentale. Si deve aggiungere, poi, che i racconti di Migjeni sono essi stessi immediati, talvolta non finiti: il loro linguaggio è incisivo, tagliente.”

Sono racconti stupefacenti quelli di Migjeni, ricchi di delizie e di particolari chicche. Sono narrazioni che fanno riferimento a figure, alla quotidianità, a personaggi addolorati, ma anche all’ironia, anche se spesso malinconica Non date retta a chi dice che farete fatica a leggerli. In realtà li leggerete in maniera naturale, perché non si può non amare Migjeni e l’Asia scrittura. Vi entusiasmerete e non vorrete più lasciare questa magnifica raccolta! Racconti accattivanti e di grande empatia quelli contenuti in questa raccolta pubblicata dalla casa editrice Besa. Un bellissimo regalo, che viene fatto a tutti i lettori di poesie e a chi, come me, apprezza la scrittura albanese. In originale, gli scritti sono redatti in ghego, dialetto albanese antico. Un lavoro difficile per la traduttrice, che ha dato magnificamente voce al poeta e ai suoi racconti a metà, ai "brandelli" di vita vissuta. Una lettura delicata e coinvolgente. Ogni racconto vi prenderà e vi trascinerà con sé, verso un altro luogo, un altro tempo, un altro universo. Consigliato.
